Mike DiPaula
Founding Partner and Financial Advisor
Mike DiPaula is founding partner of Flora & DiPaula Wealth Partners Inc., and is focused on helping clients work toward their retirement dreams through a well-thought-out strategy for retirement income.
Before he entered the financial services industry, Mike enjoyed 35 years as a police officer with Baltimore County Police department and retired as a Captain. He was also a serial entrepreneur during this time. He owned multiple businesses, including a moving company and a mortgage brokerage firm, and he sold real estate for 20 years. As he approached retirement from the police department, Mike began searching for his next venture. The financial field had always interested him, and, similar to police work, he viewed it as a new way he could help people. Mike and Sarah Flora worked together at another high production firm for several years before they teamed up and founded Flora & DiPaula Wealth Partners, Inc. They realized from very early on that they had similar values and views. Their top priority has always been to help people work toward their financial goals through an open and honest relationship.
Mike is an alumni of Calvert Hall College in Towson where he played football and lacrosse. He also studied business at Towson University and attended the Wharton School of Business Investment Strategies and Portfolio Management Program. He holds the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP) designation and is a registered Investment Adviser Representative. He became an Investment Adviser Representative since passing the Series 65 securities exam in 2012 and holds his life and health insurance licenses in Maryland and other states.
Residing in Baltimore County, Mike is the proud father of three daughters, two stepsons and is Poppy to grandsons Joel and Chase. He and his wife Eileen enjoy spending their free time with their family and going to the beach when visiting their second home in Sarasota, Florida.
